We have been busy with Graduation, visiting U of U and orientation, signing up for classes, and planning a busy busy year for Patricia. Boomer went to Football camp at BYU and had a great time. We are glad to be back at home for a month or two.

Ok, so now I have all the graduation photos in from my brother and everyone so here they are... June 9, 2009 Patricia graduates from Fife HS with honors.

Patricia competed at State 2 A tennis championships. She and her partner Rachael Knight won the first match against Clarkson's first seated team, lost the second match against South Widby's first seated team, and then won the third match against Centralia's first team.
On Saturday they lost their first match against Tumwater so will end up either 7th or 8th in State depending upon whether the girls who beat them won their next match or not.

Boomer is going to BYU Football camp at the same time we take Patricia to orientation in June. It will be hard to be on two campuses at the same time but we're tag teaming it. I am taking Wishy to U of U and Adrian is taking Boomer to BYU. Both have to check in at 8 am on June 22.

Patrica is going to State competition at the Nordstrom Centre at UW this Friday and Saturday! We are so proud of her!

The Girls on Prom night... who needs boys! Patricia and her friends got all dolled up and went out for dinner and the dance which she rated as "X". ok they don't dance like we used to!

This week was very busy for the kids. They were all week at the fair which means that they have tons of homework to catch up on now. Boomer's pig took 2 second place ribbons, and Patricia's... well lets just say that when you get ranked 131 out of 139, ya kinda know the odds aren't in your favor. At first they wouldn't even let her go to auction, but they relented finally and behind the scenes one of the other FFA kid's parents made a better than it was worth bid on her pig so she was happy.

Where dreams end and reality begins.

Ok it looks like I have the basics down so let me tell you what Boomer has been up to. He returned home yesterday afternoon from a snowcave campout in the cascade mountains. I didn't get the chance to talk to him yesterday because after sleeping only two hours on the chilly trip he had to make up for it in his warm little beddy bye once he got home. Boomer is always the happiest when he is doing extreme things like snow camping, or hitting people while playing football. Here is a recent picture of him from our vacation last summer.

Let's try one more just to see if I actually got this down. Here is a picture of my little tennis player Patricia. We have been working very hard on Patricia's tennis skills this last little while and have seen some great improvements. Once we decided to drop the one handed backhand and went to a two handed and worked out the form on that it went great. Add this to an ankle breaking forehand and a good serve and we are hoping that " Patty" will be Fife High Schools number 1 player this year moving up from number 3 last year.

Once again I am going to try to add a little something to our blog page. I guess this will be a learning "on the fly" experience so bear with me as I am not as tech. savy as the average person but here goes. Lately I have been doing some art work and thought I would post the new pieces here on this page for all to look at. Here is a painting I did of Brian Felshaw who is a football player for Fife High School and goes to our ward. Sorry about the glare in this picture but I didn't think to take a photo of it untill it was under glass.

January 30, 2009
Patricia has chosen to attend University of Utah in Salt Lake! I am going back to graduate school at Keller studying Public Administration specializing in Non-Profits. So we are getting to be good friends with the FAFSA! Boomer is getting his driver's permit next Tuesday. WOW! I can't believe it! In order to drive in our family you have to be a B student and Boomer has surprised us all this year with lots of A's and B's. He is working hard. Patricia ALWAYS works hard and has great grades! Patricia will be graduating from Semenary and High School soon and she can't wait. She is planning a Senior trip with her two best friends to visit one of the girl's sisters in Ashland Oregon over mid-winter break.

It the new year and we are revved and ready to go. Patricia has been accepted to the University of Utah this coming fall. Adrian is still an independant contractor for FedEx. Boomer is getting ready for drivers ed. Kirsten is considering going back to get her Masters in Public Administration specializing in non-profits at DeVry's graduate school Keller Institiute. The dogs are annoying, the cats complain... life is good!
